Ghusl following premature ejaculation

Question:

Is it necessary to take a ghusl or make certain supplications when premature ejaculation takes place as a result of speaking to or thinking of my fiancée? I go through this all the time.

Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh

Thank you for your question.

May Allāh bless you and your fiancé. May He facilitate success in your future marriage.

Any excretion or discharge that exits the front genitals due to arousal, carnal or sexual related thoughts, nullifies the wudū (ablution). If the discharge is ejaculation or ejection of semen, then ghusl (Islamic bath) becomes mandatory. (See: Mukhtaṣar al Qudūrī)

There are no mandatory supplications required in your situation. We suggest you occupy yourself with productive activity so that way there is less time for your mind to drift off to anything else. A pertinent advice, is also to marry your fiancé at the earliest.

And Allah knows best.
